Yogic Power in Daily Life
Featured Speaker: Kallie Schut |
Kallie has been a dedicated student of yoga for most of her life and, in recent years, returned to India to qualify with 400 hours of teacher trainings in hatha, classical kundalini, and continues her learning in the UK with yin, vinyasa flow, and yoga nidra. Kallie is also fully trained in sound healing and gong therapy with the College of Sound Healing.
Kallie believes that “yoga has transformed my mental health, allowed me to stand in my strength and power, and to take up space as a woman of colour, a social justice activist and leader in the workplace.”
Kallie is committed to diversity in yoga by changing perceptions of yoga and broadening representations within the yoga industry in London so that it is more accessible and inclusive for people of colour, people with different sized bodies, people with disability and anyone who has ever felt yoga is not for them.
She is seeking to bring her ancestral heritage to honouring the spiritual traditions of yoga so that it is practiced by everyone not just super bendy, flexible white people. Yoga is for EVERY BODY – all of classes are designed with options, variations and adaptations and the use of props is encouraged so that students are empowered to make choices about where they are, on that day, on that mat.

Featured Speaker: Sangeeta Vallabhan |
Sangeeta Vallabhan has been studying movement for over 30 years, first through dance and then yoga. She has been teaching yoga in New York City for over fifteen years. Sangeeta teaches vinyasa style classes that are challenging, well balanced, grounding and empowering. Sangeeta has studied with many teachers over the years; in total she has trained well over 1200 hours. Sangeeta has also trained many teachers at the 200hr and 300hr level and specializes in teaching trauma informed yoga teacher trainings. As the creator of solemarch, Sangeeta encourages students to use the practices of yoga to continually seek out their own voice, their true sense of self and to not feel the need to conform to any one method or philosophy. We are all unique and complex - and it's natural to deduce our yoga practice would be as well.
Featured Speaker: Leatha Kingi |
Leatha Kingi is a lifeschooling mother of five amazing humans, and one half of a powerhouse couple finding meaning and purpose in healing from individual and marital trauma. As a recovering perfectionist, she is a fervent proponent of holistic self care and self love. Equally passionate about clearing generational trauma and celebrating generational resilience, she seeks to continually reclaim her power through her healing journey, and to inspire others, including the 5 little people in her charge, to do the same. She believes deeply in the worldwide movement of indigenous rising, of peoples surviving the legacies of colonialism and oppression and reclaiming their power and ascending to leadership. As a dōTERRA Wellness Advocate, she loves empowering her customers to reconnect with nature’s solutions to heal body, mind, and spirit, and to partner in her business with likeminded BIPOC/allies to reclaim abundance and power and help others do the same. Yoga is an integral part of each of these aspects of her life, and she believes bringing yoga to everyone can only serve to magnify this global healing movement.
